A Message from Possilpark Improvement District Chair

Possilpark Business Improvement Distric has been rebranded as Positive Possil.  It is felt that this will be more inclusive of the businesses in Saracen Street and the wider area.  Furthermore, it reflects the aspirations the aspirations to make the area flourish.

As Chair of the Improvement District, I have been working on various areas of governacne, levy drawdown, communication and ongoing work with local businesses.

Over the past months, there has been a strong effort to re-engage with the businesses within Possilpark through individual meetings with traders, information events, Scotland Loves Local wee event, and most recently a 'Tea with Traders' event.  We have also provided updates to elected members and community members through a series of informal meetings.

We have been working on the new 'Positive Possil' website which contains information on the Improvement District, its aims and objectives, action areas, details on levy, a Business Directory and sections for business and community updates and useful contacts page.

We held meetings this week with the environmental working group and the Activities working group (pictured above)
