Festive celebrations are coming back to Possilpark

A variety of events were held in Possilpark for Christmas 2024 with some of this supported through Possilpark Improvement District.  We were delighted to once again have the Tree lit up and in place outside 252 Saracen Street and it was wonderful to see children from the local schools taking part in Carol Singing.  They then enjoyed others at a community festive event at Saracen House for some activities, music and picked up their selection boxes.   Other events were held at Possobilities wher they had a christmas marketplace, music and activities for older people. 

Comfort Zone had an amazing event held at Stonyhurst Street where they had hot food stalls, childrens rides, face painting anbitd of course a visit from Santa.   Organisers of all events want to extend a huge thank you to their funders and sponsors including Allied Vehicles Charitable Trust, ng homes, Possilpark BID, Glasgow City Council area partnership funds.  Also, a big Thank You to all of the staff  and volunteers at Comfort Zone, Possobilities, Positive Possil and others for giving the children and the community such a special time.

This year, we are delighted to say that Positive Possil has worked closely with business sponsors and others for funds for new Festive crosslights, projectors and gobo lighting and the tree will be firmly back in place. 

We are collaborating with local businesses and community to make sure that this will be a wonderul Festive season for children, families and others.  So, watch this space for more information on activities taking place.
