Get Involved

How can I get involved in Positive Possil?

  • Are you interested in joining the Positive Possil board.   To be eligible you will be a levy paying business owner or nominated on the businesses owners behalf. 
  • You may wish to be part of our 'environmental' working group or our 'activities and events working group to help improve Possilpark.
  • You can give us your views and send us regular updates on your business that you wish to share with the local community.
  • You can participate in joint businesses/community activities to promote Possilpark.

Environmental working group

Positive Possil are working collaboratively with Glasgow City Council Neighbourhood Services, ng homes and others to focus on a variety of environmental issues in line with our aims and objectives.   We recently undertook a walkabout the area and identified and reported back on various areas that have been highlighted by traders and community.  These included waste bins, drainage issues, derelict and unused spaces, dog fouling and infestation issues.  We will continue to work together to create responses to these and update on our website and to more general meetings. 

We are pleased to see the roadsweeper now operating in the area and this has been welcomed by traders and community alike.  If you have a business in the area and would like to participate in this we look forward to hearing from you. 

Activities and events working group

Positive Possil is working alongside Traders to support the organisation of events and actvities throughout the year to bring businesses and community together.  This supports the aims to 'shop local' and also to increase footfall for local businesses within this busy shopping area. 

As Christmas approaches, much of our focus has been on working together with businesses and local community groups who are already planning events.   We are pleased to say that we have new crosslights for Saracen Street, projectors and gobo lighting that will brighten up the area and, of course, The Christmas Treet and lighting at Millenium Square will once again be in place. 

Positive Possil had a meeting recently to discuss a Festive schedule to include a 'switch on of festive lights and a range of activities and events in the run up to Christmas.   We are finalising dates for all of these and will keep businesses and community updated.

Business Updates

You can support Positive Possil by providing us with any updates on your business. This could be special offers, changes to operating times and some good news you want to share.
