The theme for the week is 'Flying the Flag for local businesses' as the country rallies behind Scotland in the world cup. It highlights the difference that can be made by getting behind local businesses and organisations in our communties.
Positive Possil caught up with some local businesses to find out directly from them how important it is for their businesses to have increased footfall in the area. We are now working on a strong marketing campaign to suppor them in their aim, and more to follow on this soon.
Chair of Positive Possil, Jim Garrity, said;
"We are fortunate to have such a diverse range of businesses in our neighbourhood and all of them contribute so much to this community.
When we 'shop local' we are supporting these businesses and the people behind them. Many of the businesses have served our community for many years, and others newer to the area. They are all integral to providing our daily shopping needs. So let's 'fly the flag' for our local businesses and help them to thrive.
