Positive Possil were delighted to welcome Lord Provost, Jacqueline McLaren, Gemma Zak Duport from Allied Vehicles, staff from ng homes, local traders and community to kick off the Festive Season. The Christmas Tree is in place and the new cross lights will be installed shortly.
This was a great opportunity for traders to meet with each other and to view the Positive Possil website.
Other attendees included Police Scotland, GCC Neighbourhood staff and local volunteers who helped the organisation of the event. It was lovely to see Karen Dunbar drop in to show her support for the area.
The Lord Provost spoke of the importance of the Improvement district and their aims to encourge more footfall to the area to promote 'shopping local.
Jim Garrity, Chair of Positive Possil, explained the background to the Improvement District which was established in 2022. This was followed by a brief review of the website and a Thanks to all for their support to the local area.
A huge thanks was given to Allied Vehicles who have provided financial support towards the new lighting and to ng homes who helped out with some installation issues for the lighting. Thanks also to the Traders and community in our joint efforts to make the area thrive.
